About Sherry

Sherry Gergis, M.D. is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. For Residency, she trained at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and attended Baylor College of Medicine fellowship program for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She has been practicing in Orlando, FL since 2014.

Trinity Psychiatric Health offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adults, adolescents, and children in a welcoming setting. We offer patients our full care and attention, listen empathically and compassionately as we would personal family members and friends. We aim to assist our patients on their journey to their optimal mental health potential, by utilizing up to date medications and psychotherapy.

My Mission

Doctor’s Note

My goal is to cultivate a warm and caring rapport with patients and ensure the most comprehensive assessment and treatment in a respectful and compassionate manner. I pride myself on being empathetic and highly attentive to patient’s individual psychiatric needs. I consistently strive to listen well, understand my patients and treat them with dignity and respect they deserve.

I offer a thoughtful compressive assessment to discuss and weigh out the role that medications could play to support your process of change. Psychoeducation is at the core of my practice. Confidentiality and privacy are paramount. My goal is to provide the expert psychiatric care that will allow you the most personal growth and help you realize your full potential.

Not everyone needs medications!! I will make every attempt to streamline or reduce medications when possible while developing effective, safe regimens in cases when medications are truly necessary. It is my goal to optimize your psychological, and overall health needs.

I will collaborate regularly with your therapist/primary care doctor and plan the best, most effective treatment course. Many primary care doctors are not always comfortable treating mood disorders or other psychiatric conditions. They also find it difficult to collaborate with your therapist on a regular basis. I will work with other professionals to identify evidence-based best practice treatment options for your personal needs.
